About Us

Zack Heger is a vibrant 18-year-old-boy, randomly stricken with a devastating genetic disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which attacks his muscles as he ages. Once able to walk normally, he is now confined to a wheelchair and continues to lose mobility throughout his body daily.

His parents, along with other concerned parents and friends of loved ones suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy work together to raise money for research for a cure. Hacks Fore Zack donates every dollar raised to The Zack Heger Foundation, which was established to support efforts to discover cures for neuromuscular disorders in children and to devise therapies and provide other forms of support for those already suffering from such disorders. The foundation also proudly contributes to The Jett Neuromuscular Clinic at MGH, Boston Biomedical Research Institute, and New England Disabled Sports.

For more information about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and recent exciting breakthroughs, please refer to www.parentprojectmd.org. Thanks to all of you, our yearly tournament, Hacks Fore Zack and other fundraising events have consistently funded Research Physicians. We hope you can help us again this year.
